| This Easter in Athens, which is in my top 10 of favorite cities! |
So this moth has been full of lovely lovely purchases. I love that time of year when you can literally buy everything out there: jackets for when it gets chillier at night (check out my green jacket below) and bikinis for relaxing on the hot weekends we're getting here in Madrid.
So here is a list of everything I've bought this month!
- Jeans from Rag & Bone. I've been looking for flattering jeans for suuuuch a long time now, and I finally found this pair yesterday! They're skinny and fit so well! I also tried this pair on, but on a lighter color, which I loved. They're likely to be my next purchase! But seriously, if you're looking for a good pair of jeans, check out Rag & Bone. They're all so flattering: there wasn't a pair I tried and didn't love, which doesn't usually happen to me. It's going to become my one-stop shop for jeans!
- This pijama-y pants from Monochrome. It's a Greek brand (I bought them in Athens), with really good quality basics, and also at really good prices. For other cute Greek grands, check out Milk & Honey (the loveliest dresses ever, very similar to those by Realisation Par). I was surprised at how many amazing Greek designers there are, and there is hardly any publicity on them!Anyway, I'm wearing these pants on the first picture on the post. They can be confused for pj pants, so make sure to team them up with a more structured jacket and fancier shoes.
- My new t-shirt from Adidas! Although athleisure is a trend I have just started appreciating, this t-shirt stole my heart (I'm hardly dramatic at all). It's an amazing red brick color and it fits like a dream. They have them in different colors, but I wanted to go all out, and don't own much of this color in my wardrobe, so it was a no-brainer for me!
- Shirt from Whistles, which I cannot find on their website anymore!. This is also a shirt I got yesterday. I think the Whistles stand at El Corte Inglés is quite recent in Madrid. At least I hadn't seen it before yesterday. I saw this shirt on sale and could not resist. So now I have two red items in my wardrobe! (Actually, I have three, I got these awesome pants a few months ago). I can't wait to wear it!
- Beauty-wise, I'm also going Greek. I bought a new shampoo and conditioner from Apivita, which are natural cosmetics. I've been trying to jump into the natural band-wagon for a while now, beauty-wise, so this was a good first step. I'll let you know how it goes!I also got the Korres Wild Rose Exfoliating Cleanser, which smells so good and so far is working great!
- This jacket from Zara, which for some reason I cannot find on their website. For a while, I was looking for a good khaki jacket that I could wear more relaxed or more formal, and this one ticks all the boxes. It's a very light material, and has beautiful detailing, which make it appropriate for all occasions.
- Two bikinis from I'm not sure what brand to be honest. They're sold by a friend of a friend of my mum's, who came over one day and showed them to me. I love the quality, shape and colors of the bikinis, and I can't wait to wear them. As soon as I know where you can get them, I'll let you know!
- Finally, these lovely Vans. I was looking to buy white trainers, but there was something that kept holding me back (maybe they're overexposed already?). When I came across these Vans I knew I had found what I wanted. They look like normal Vans from above, but have an espadrille sole, which sets them apart. Also, they're the most comfortable shoe I've worn in my life, and won't take them off! Definitely a win.
Basically, my key learning from this month of shopping has been to say yes to (a lot of) color, and to, when possible, go Greek!
